Neda is a student at the University of California, Berkeley. She was born and raised in a household immersed in Urdu literary culture and she grew up admiring the poetry of Iqbal, Faiz, and Ghalib. Neda is passionate about promoting the literacy of her mother tongue by shedding light on the current economic and political affairs governing the world. As such, Foreigncy’s mission of preservation and advancement of critical languages is fundamental to her personal motto. Global diplomacy and prosperity requires a functional understanding and appreciation of languages that represent the diversity of our world, and she believes that Foreigncy addresses this issue by bridging the communication gap among cultures.
